Essential Qualification
(i) First Class Blib.Sc./Mlib.Sc. from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable
(i) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Experience
(i) 5 years professional experience in a Library.
Job Description
(i) Sectional Activities (Acquisition/Serial Control/EIS/Case Studies and
Copyright Permissions – as per allotment)
(i) Shelf Management & In-House Keeping Activities
(ii) Locates books or other reference materials to assist patrons; refers
requests requiring professional assistance to reference librarian.
(iii) Prepares purchase requests, orders supplies, and, upon delivery,
processes and distributes supplies and materials throughout the
library.
(iv) Circulation and Reference Services.
(v) Assists in preparing exhibits, seasonal displays, and bulletin boards
throughout the library.
(vi) Performs other related duties as assigned.
